Trim a clip without losing quality

Trim video — Raheeb

What is this feature?

Most trimming tools re-encode the clip, costing you quality and minutes of waiting. Raheeb uses a passthrough cut: it slices at the boundaries you chose and copies the same video and audio data into a new file. The result is identical in quality, in seconds.

The interface is simple: a filmstrip of the clip and two handles you drag to set start and end. The new copy is saved next to the original — the original is never touched — whether it lives in Photos or in My Files.

No re-encoding

Literally the same quality as the source, no second compression.

Fast

Seconds even for long clips, because the file is copied, not rebuilt.

The original stays

The trimmed copy sits beside it, unchanged.

Filmstrip

See the clip's frames while you set the in and out points.

Frequently asked questions

Does the video lose quality?
No. The trim copies the file's own data without re-encoding, so the result matches the original.
Is the original changed?
No — a new copy is saved alongside it.
How long does it take?
Usually seconds, because the app doesn't rebuild the video.
Does it work on Photos clips?
Yes, as long as the clip shows in My Files; the copy is saved in the same place.
Is it free?
Trimming is available to everyone at the moment.
